WTaSe₄ (Tungsten Tantalum Selenide)

WTaSe₄ is a tungsten–tantalum selenide alloy with the nominal formula WTaSe₄, forming a layered van der Waals crystal. Tantalum incorporation on the metal sublattice modifies the electronic structure relative to pristine WSe₂, enabling systematic studies of alloying effects in layered semiconductors.

Growth method: Chemical vapor transport (CVT).

Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3–4 mm, with a purity of up to 99.999% (5N), and 2–3 high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.

Exfoliation: Easy — readily cleaved into thin flakes by standard mechanical exfoliation.
