Sb₂Te₃ (Antimony Telluride)
A layered van der Waals chalcogenide, space group R3̄m, composed of Te–Sb–Te–Sb–Te quintuple layers. It is a three-dimensional topological insulator hosting a single Dirac-cone surface state and simultaneously a classic thermoelectric material and phase-change material (a key component of GST alloys). This multifunctionality makes Sb₂Te₃ an important platform for topological surface-state physics, thermoelectric conversion, and phase-change memory.
Growth method: Bridgman growth.
Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3 mm, with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6N), and multiple high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.
Exfoliation: Easy — readily cleaved into thin flakes by standard mechanical exfoliation.
