Fe₄GeTe₂ (Iron Germanium Telluride)
A layered van der Waals itinerant ferromagnet of the Fe_nGeTe₂ family, space group R3̄m. It exhibits two-dimensional ferromagnetism with a Curie temperature near or slightly below room temperature (~270–300 K), substantially higher than that of Fe₃GeTe₂, along with a complex spin reorientation transition at lower temperature. The high T_c retained down to few-layer thickness and its tunable magnetic anisotropy make Fe₄GeTe₂ a key candidate for two-dimensional spintronics and van der Waals magnetic heterostructures.
Growth method: Flux growth.
Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 2 mm, with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6N), and multiple high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.
Exfoliation: Easy — readily cleaved into thin flakes by standard mechanical exfoliation.
