CeTi₃Bi₄ (Cerium Titanium Bismuthide)

A layered magnetic material of the RTi₃Bi₄ family (R = rare earth), in which Ti kagome nets combine with rare-earth chains within a Bi-based framework. It hosts kagome-lattice electronic features—flat bands, Dirac points, and van Hove singularities—coexisting with magnetism from the Ce sublattice, whose 4f moments introduce localized magnetism and possible Kondo physics with strong magnetic anisotropy. This intertwining of kagome band topology and rare-earth magnetism makes CeTi₃Bi₄ an important platform for studying correlated kagome magnets and magnetic topological states.
