ZrTe₃ (Zirconium Tritelluride)
A quasi-one-dimensional layered van der Waals transition-metal trichalcogenide, space group P2₁/m, built from ZrTe₃ chains. It is metallic and hosts a low-dimensional charge density wave transition (~63 K) coexisting with filamentary superconductivity, with the ground state highly sensitive to pressure and intercalation. The interplay of CDW order and superconductivity makes ZrTe₃ an important system for studying competing electronic orders in quasi-one-dimensional metals.
Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3–4 mm, with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6N), and multiple high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.
Exfoliation: Easy — readily cleaved into thin flakes by standard mechanical exfoliation.
Growth method: Chemical vapor transport (CVT).
