VSe₂ (Vanadium Diselenide)

A layered van der Waals transition-metal dichalcogenide most commonly in the 1T (octahedral) structure, space group P3̄m1. It is metallic and undergoes a charge density wave transition, and its monolayer has been reported to host room-temperature two-dimensional ferromagnetism, though the intrinsic nature of this magnetism remains debated. The interplay of CDW order and possible ferromagnetism makes VSe₂ a widely studied candidate for two-dimensional magnetism and correlated electronic order.
