Nb₃I₈ (Niobium Triiodide Cluster Compound)

Nb₃I₈ is a van der Waals niobium-cluster iodide (same family as Nb₃Cl₈ and Nb₃Br₈), a layered magnetic semiconductor/insulator. The Nb atoms form trimer (Nb₃) clusters on a breathing kagome lattice, giving rise to cluster-based spin-singlet states and frustrated magnetism, accompanied by a temperature-driven magneto-structural transition (paramagnetic ↔ singlet). Its bands show kagome/flat-band features, and it is regarded as a candidate obstructed atomic insulator.

Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3 mm, with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6N), and multiple high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.
