Bi (Bismuth)

Bi is an elemental bismuth single crystal with a rhombohedral A7 structure, a classic semimetal with very low carrier density and large magnetoresistance. Ultrathin bismuth (bismuthene) is also pursued as a two-dimensional topological material.

Growth method: Chemical vapor transport (CVT).

Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3–4 mm, with a purity of up to 99.999% (5N), and 2–3 high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.

Exfoliation: Moderate — cleaves easily on the (111) plane into thin flakes.
