α-MoO₃ (Molybdenum Trioxide)

α-MoO₃ is the thermodynamically stable orthorhombic phase of molybdenum trioxide, a wide-band-gap layered oxide with a gap of about 3 eV. It is widely used in electrochromic devices, gas sensors and as a hole-transport layer in optoelectronics.

Growth method: Chemical vapor transport (CVT).

Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3–4 mm, with a purity of up to 99.999% (5N), and 2–3 high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package.

Exfoliation: Easy — van der Waals layers exfoliate readily into two-dimensional nanosheets.
